It's been four years since the "Gilmore Girls" revival dropped on Netflix, and it would be an understatement to say that not all fans were thrilled with what they saw when Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel) reentered their lives almost a decade after the show ended. With the four-part serial' broadcast debut on The CW before this week, TheWrap idea it was a skilful time to reflect on everything that bugged viewers nigh "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" in 2016. Enjoy reliving the madness that ensued when we got back to Stars Hollow. Simply first, grab some Pop-Tarts and coffee, considering you're gonna need them to become through this listing. Actually, skip the coffee. It will just get you more than worked up.

i. Who the heck is Rory's baby daddy? The virtually obvious, but even so most infuriating, part of the revival was the infamous terminal 4 words. Now nosotros know that Rory is meaning, simply we may never know who the male parent is. Also, this pregnancy came out of nowhere, so that wasn't fun. Ugh.
Netflix
2. Rory didn't larn her lesson about cheating. At the cease of Season four, Rory slept with her married ex-young man Dean and fans understandably freaked out. She seemed to have learned from the misstep during the original serial, merely in the revival she has a total-diddled thing with Logan. WTF?
Netflix
3. Paul. Why? Merely, why? What was the point of Paul? To make us all realize Rory has get totally inconsiderate to the point where she won't pause up with a guy for a year considering, reasons?
Netflix
4. Lorelai and Luke's issues. Look, fans get that a happy ending in the series finale didn't necessarily mean the couple was safe forever. But watching these 2 volition-they-or-won't-they all through the revival was just annoying. Specially when we *knew* they would.
Netflix
5. Rory's freakin' phones. The revival took identify in 2016, not 2002. Information technology made no sense that Rory would need a work telephone, a personal phone and a Stars Hollow telephone. This may accept been one of the smallest annoyances, only information technology was a bit that got quondam *real* fast.
Netflix
6. Many of the references were super dated. Fans were so excited to become a taste of creator Amy Sherman-Palladino'due south take on current events, but information technology seemed like the revival was all over the place with references. Yes, Lorelai and Rory have brains filled to the brim with pop culture facts from decades past, but this was a fourth dimension for united states to hear them riff on what's going on right at present.
Netflix
7. The Gilmore Girls weren't very PC. We're not saying that Lorelai and Rory demand to change their personalities, but the two have always been very accepting and open-minded, so some of the jokes about body epitome, race (Emily's maid, anyone?) and sexuality were awkward.
Netflix
8. Rory'south career (or lack thereof). Rory was a stellar pupil and the editor of the Yale Daily News. And while she may not take concluded the show with a permanent job offer, we were hoping to meet that she had made something great of herself since taking off to follow Barack Obama on the campaign trail in the finale. Instead, Rory seems to exist not only drowning in the journalism field, but not even trying hard to stay adrift.
Netflix
9. Jess. The problem with Jess was there was no trouble with Jess. Jess was perfect. Jess was the moving-picture show of stability and awesomeness compared to everyone around him. Honestly, this made united states of america mad because we realized Rory didn't deserve to get back together with him at this signal. After all, he'southward come up then far and she'south regressed so much. So maybe it'due south adept they didn't?
Netflix
10. Lorelai'due south weird "Wild" trip. Fans didn't care how lost Lorelai was after her father Richard's decease and her relationship "issues" with Luke -- the trip she took to hike the Pacific Crest Trail was just not realistic. Luckily, she didn't actually fifty-fifty start information technology, so that fell in line with her character. But it was still a very weird move.
Netflix
11. That alphabetic character. During 1 of their therapy sessions, Emily brought up a horrible letter she says Lorelai sent her on her birthday one year -- but Lorelai swears she never wrote such a letter of the alphabet. And then that's it! Nosotros never learned who wrote it or why. Uh, okay.
Netflix
12. Lorelai'southward initial reaction to Rory'south book. Lorelai has never been anything but supportive of Rory -- sometimes to her detriment. So for her to snap at her daughter'due south (well, really Jess') idea to write a book about their lives seems really weird. Yeah, she finally got on board, merely being down on it from the starting time was out of graphic symbol.
Netflix
13. Paris and Doyle. Human being, did fans dearest this couple during the series. So it totally killed u.s.a. to see they were getting a divorce past the fourth dimension the revival rolled effectually. Yet, they hadn't actually finalized anything past the cease of "A Year in the Life," so we can dream.
Netflix
14. Rory'southward nomad existence. Rory was a crazy-organized person throughout the unabridged serial. The idea that she wouldn't accept a permanent address, let lonely one place to store her stuff, by the time she was 32 is only unbelievable.
Netflix
15. The lack of other characters' storylines. "Gilmore Girls" was always a show about, well, the Gilmore girls. Only, it still focused pretty heavily on all of its characters. We didn't become enough Sookie, Lane, Zack, Jackson or Mrs. Kim in the revival. Though we finally met Mr. Kim and got a pretty decent corporeality of Michel, so, yay?
